Hi Richard,

Immersion tin is not hard to install.  Equipment is relatively simple, as all
baths are fairly low temp.  Good rinsing and drying is important.  I think
the only thing you'll likely have trouble with is peeling mask.  Most
soldermasks will not like the tin and will have tendancy to peel.  There are
ways around this.  And some masks don't peel as readily as others.  If you're
still in the planning stage you can easily send some sample boards out for
tin coating and see how your mask performs.

Solderability for your customers should not be a problem but it's a good idea
to set up in-house controls such as daily (or per job) solderability testing.
 Easy to do.  Good bath controls (analysis) is required, as you'd expect.
But it's not hard and it's nothing out of the ordinary.  (A lot easier than
ENIG.)
