     Hi Tom:

Try getting the following Tin Research Institute publication:

Solder Alloy Data: Mechanical properties of solders and soldered
     joints.
     Publication #656

Sorry I don't have a phone number but maybe some of the TechNet gang
can supply it. I believe that they closed all of the US offices and
are now running the shop out of England.

A word of caution - solder fatigue data comparisons are very risky
because of the number of test variable differences that can result in
apples to oranges data sets. Publication 656 does a good job of
describing what/how the testing was done. It contains both 40Sn/60Pb
     and 50Sn/50Pb solder alloys.

Fellow TechNetters:

I need some information and I was hoping you could help me. Does anyone have
any information on solder fatigue for tin-lead solders that have between 40 and
50 percent tin content? Any information or leads would be appreciated. Thanks
in advance for any help.
