Before declaring them non-compliant, removing them from your list or any
other type rash or angry action ask them questions first.

Could it be that many of the components, products, chemistries, etc have a
minute amount of lead that while declared according to MSDS or other
requirements may not be an issue when viewed from the RoHS perspective.

Too often I've seen companies freak at the word lead...and with additional
research find lead in many of the items they at first thought were
lead-free.

So my opinion, my advice is to explore the information they provided you.

Subject: [TN] verifying RoHS Compliance

I am trying to verify RoHS Compliance for our inventory. I have a
question about a response I got from T&B. Their answer for many of their
products is "Compliant under RoHS except lead in copper". Can anyone
tell me if this is truly OK under the directive? Thanks for any help on
this.
