Good afternoon Jim

You can Remove silicone with a special degreaser,a supplier of carpainting
have it in stock,it is a normal procedure to remove silicone residue on a
car before painting.

Good Morning Technet:

Can anyone suggest methods of cleaning cast aluminum plates of silicone
residue (from a silicone-based machining oil)?  These plates must be clean
enough to bond to using a structural epoxy.
