Job Objective	Process Engineer

Experience	Sigma Circuits Incorporated, Costa Mesa, CA
4/95 - Present	Chemical Process Engineer
Responsible for all wet chemical processes in the manufacture
of
                             multilayer printed circuit boards. These
 include Copper, Solder, Tin, Tin/Lead,
Nickel/Gold Plating, Etching, Solder Strip, Hot Air
                                Levelling, Entek Coating. Improved copper
plating to achieve 10:1
aspect ratio in production. Revised method for
calculating plating surface area resulting in
a 20% improvement in part-to-part plating
                               thickness uniformity. Implemented cost
reduction changes resulting in
$50,000 annual savings. Designed copper plating tank
                              for experimental use. Evaluated direct
metalization. Assisted with controlled
impedance designs and calculations. Purchased and
                                  implemented capital equipment. Wrote
process documentation to ISO standards.

1/91 - 3/95 Unisys Corporation, Roseville, MN
	    Senior Chemical Process Engineer
Implemented new processes from scratch: Tin Plating, Tin/Bismuth
Plating and Automated Vertical Hot Oil Reflow. Made major
improvements to Etch and Strip, incorporating automation to
reduce
process variation. Performed operator training and
customer interface.
                  Wrote technical article for publication.

12/84 - 1/91 Unisys Corporation, Roseville, MN
	    Quality Engineer
Set up Automated Optical Inspection from vendor selection to full
production. Implemented SPC controls on Layer Etching
resulting in a significant reduction in scrap. Wrote
several computer programs: to interface and drive
equipment; for data collection, data conversion and report
generation. Gave technical presentation to the IPC trade
                  association. Successful team contributions: Defect
Reduction, Solderability Improvement and Cycle time
Reduction. Received Quality Improvement cash award.

4/84 - 10/84 IBM Corporation, Boulder, CO
	     Senior Chemical Technician
Developed test methods, operated a variety of instrumentation,
performed routine testing, corrected software in a
computer-aided testing device.

1/83 - 4/84 Scientific Supply Company, Denver, CO
	    Chemist
Developed test methods using ASTM and other standard methods.
Designed and implemented new chemical cleaning products
from concept to production.

9/80 - 10/82 Storage Technology Corporation, Louisville, CO
	    Development Engineer
Worked extensively with photoresists. Developed coating process for
Laser Disk Technology. Assisted printed circuit board
prototype fabrication. Set up Clean Room to class 1000
environment.
