There is a couple of companies that just do that due to the fact
that many components come with Tin only. Adding the lead avoids tin
whiskers.

Replating the leads is unlikely to happen, for what a few reels cost
compared to all the hassle & cost of doing that does not really make it
worth it, also it's something we have never had done here so wouldn't
know where to start.

	replate the leads. If the leads replate, the diodes should still
be good.
