You may be thinking of my post re; stripping immersion tin from brass. The
resulting part becomes unsolderable after a period of time due to
intermetalics formed by from zinc in the brass and the tin plate, at least
that is what I got from the replies. Based on my experience with installing
air and vacuum systems in new facilities is that there are no issues with
soldering brass to solder. BTW I will be plating my brass with copper in the
future this should solve the problems.
