 Subject: [TN] Centistokes to centipoise

 Hi Technetters!

Does anyone out there know of the conversion factor from Centistoke
to Centipoise? I came across a text book the other day that quoted
viscosity data in Centistokes, which I have never used before.

 Thanks
 Tana>>

Hi Tana!

Dave gave ya' a good resource, but I got an even BETTER one! (I just found
it!) If you go to:

http://www-sci.lib.uci.edu/HSG/RefCalculators.html

You'll find yourself on a page that's gotta have at least two bazillion online
calculators. I have never seen so many! (actually, there's 7,860 of them...it
says so on their page).

There's online calculators there for anything and everything such as a
Worldwide Muslim Prayer Time Calculator, a Golf Course Handicap Calculator, to
a Natural Convection Model for Predicting Heat Transfer from Circular and
Rectangular Heat Sinks...it's quite extensive! I'm sure it'll have something
there, if it doesn't, then it don't exist...

I've never heard of centistokes either, that's why I went looking too. But
what I did learn, (like Dave was talking about) is that I believe it isn't a
one-to-one type of conversion, because centistokes factor in temperature.

I didn't do a real thorough search at that WEB page I gave ya' cause it's SO
BIG, but like I said, if a conversion calculator exists for centipoise to
centistoke, it'll sure be there!!
