One possibility is secondary hand assembly.
That's my solution for low volume (~1k PA).
Most of the SMT film caps (that is the available ones!) require a dwell of less than 5s @ 250C which is not really compatible
with medium and large BGA's, QFN's etc.
I design products for industrial and medical markets usually with a mix of analog FPGA and DSP, where PPS caps enable analog
function that are faster to design and verify than their digital equivalents.

Didn't see you earlier e-mail. How old are they? Do you have lot code numbers? How were they stored? Are you using no-cleans
or more active fluxes? Tin/lead or lead-free? What does the vendor say?

I am getting poor fillets on these parts when I stay within their recommended soldering temperatures. is anybody else using
these caps and having success soldering them?
