Larry,
IPC-A-610 is considered an industry workmanship standard that assists
process inspectors in evaluating the acceptability of electronic
assemblies. The 610 document gets their requirements from the J-STD-001
document. Rev B is the current revision of the document. As to whether it
is appropriate to call out the standard on a print probably depends on the
customer who will be using the product and whether in your contracts with
that/those customers, you have agreed to adhere to the J-STD-001
requirements and /or the IPC-A-610 standard. Let me know if you have any
further questions.

I have an engineer calling out IPC-A-610-B on a drawing. Is this legit and
if it is what is the B for? Issue?
