Good day TechNet! Happy Friday (Steve Day?) to all.
IPC-A-610B, figure 3-49 in section 3.5.1.1 covers wire wrap around on round
terminal. The spec is perfectly clear, and in fact the single
non-conforming unit has already been reworked, but this is one of those
debates that goes on longer than the rework.
Can someone tell me _WHY_ having the wire end overlap itself is a
non-conforming defect for class 3? I can not think of any mechanism that
results in this being weaker or less reliable than a 180 degree wrap.
