Jay,
The term refers to particles in a solution. A light is shon on one side of a
vessel containing the particles in solution the light loss or scattered will
be related to the conc. of particles. Almost any company that builds
instruments that use light will have a turbidity meters.
I would do a search on the internet for turbidity meters.
