Well, I've been saying all the time that there is ONLY ONE direct evidences of BP - streaks in E-Ni. Thickness of the layer most probably has nothing to do with the majority of problems people see with ENIG. Thickness of IAu is important, though.

Hi Ed - if the root cause of the attack is the peelable mask, then you should be able to reproduce the same issue on any ENIG board and not just this specific lot/supplier. There are lots of possible root causes for what you described - plating issues, cleaning issues, etc.
