Phil,
A lot of answers point at humidity. Your theory will be checked
tomorrow, sounds very likely to me, but why these beautiful patterns,
and what happens on the very surface, chemical reactions or just
harmless skin of some kind?

Yep, threw the phone on the floor, but as it is an Ericsson product, it
did not die...sorry...was this commercial violinating..

hi,

sounds like a moisture problem to me also. either in the coating, the
board, or the environment (like high relative humidity). could also be
that the wrong thinner was used. that is, one that evaporates too
quickly, cools down the coating and causes some condensation.

make sure you don't get out of bed until this problem is solved by
someone else at your plant. better yet, throw that ericsson cell phone
away.

Subject: [TN] Urgent! Acrylic coating

Hi all,
I got a call from our production. They stopped the board coating. All
boards get white and superthin veils, patterned like fractals or roses.
I'm at home because of illness, so I can't participate in their work
with the problem.
I asked them for how long they bake the board before spraying, and they
told me that no baking is made at all. Does sound wrong to me. My first
theory is humidity in some form. Humiseal, don't have the article number
just now.
Anyone who has a tip?
I'll get pics sooner, maybe I can resize them for Steve's gallery.
Thanks in advance
