Sheila,

Looking at the recently issued copy of IPC-4101 on page 19 it give a cross
reference between Nema, MIL-S-13949 and the specification sheets in IPC-4101.
GIN is #40, GIL is #41 and GIJ is # 42. The IPC-4101 puts the laminate and
prepreg under a single # while the MIl Spec put the GI prepreg under a /13
instead of GIL, GIN or GIJ. However, if you use the mil spec you should
designate the characteristics as PGIL, PGIJ or PGIN by using the designators
called out in Par. 1.2.1.2 and specify per the slash sheet 13. which is for GI
(generic) only. If you specified MIL-S-13949/13, you would also add the J or
L designators as required by the /13 slash sheet.

With the IPC-4101 you specify the prepreg to be Spec # __ with the
reinforcement, resin flow, gel time, resin content, etc. stated on your
procurement documentation.
