Good Grief , Brian, if i wouldn't know you better
(just almost digested close to 400 pages of your Clean & Cont.;
which seriously disrupted my night life lately),
i'd have to agree with Kelly's yarn on previous subject .

Yes' you're perfectly correct , but that is not the only thing involved ,
even the mask and silk profiles play role in establishment of what stencils
with what blades,
create whatever gasket seals, etc. ;
and Murugan 's got to validate (try) it on his own .

Anyhoo, rather agree with you on no need of super"efficiencies" ;
than with Daan ; with ESD halloween on bare boards ?
Daan ; you wouldn't just get hooked on vendors fairy tales ,
where is the point of this notion ?
That big separation charge ?

Murugan

An early bird non-answer:

Does it matter? I don't know how much the material and etching your stencil
cost
(without the reusable frame) but let's say hypothetically $500. With a 50
kilopass
lifetime, that makes it amortisable at just 1 cent per pass, as opposed to
half a cent
for 100 kpasses. What is 1/2 cent as a percentage of your total end-product
cost? I'll
bet it's less than negligible. Remember that a few faulty prints will cost
you more, in
the long run, than throwing away a stencil which is approaching the end of
its useful
life and trying to get an extra thousand prints out of it.

Vive le pragmatisme :-)
