In reference to your evaluation of a future purchase of a
exposure unit consider this: The design of the cooling systems of
certain exposure units is such that very little air flow reaches the
lower lamp area, specifically during higher production modes. The
result can be lamp life inconsistencies and / or premature mechanical
failures due to excessive heat build up.
You will need to either choose a unit that does not have this
type of design, or manufacture an additional air flow channel to aid
in the cooling for the lower lamp. For your application this may not
present a problem due to short exposures, but..... something to think
about.
