William,

Not all suppliers to suppliers to suppliers to suppliers to the
automotive industry are required to meet the requirements of QS 9000.

This typically only applies to 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, and
occasionally 3rd tier depending upon the type of product supplied.

The requirements of QS 9000 including Control Plans/APQP/FMEA in my
opinion are things that would benefit any manufacturer regardless of the
Quality Management System...

To answer your question, I don't believe Isola would ever be approached
by any customer requesting your company to seek QS 9000 certification.
