Howdy techies,

        Guys, just these questions:
        1. What is the standard as regards to the number of chip components
mounted manually on SMT boards/flex'? ( We use 8 as a rule of thumb)

        2. Standard mounting time per chip? What allowances are considered?

Our company employs manual pick and place workstations in a number
of our SMT lines and the headcount often swells, thereby upping our
expenses. Aside from going for automation(which is the direction
we're taking), are there alternatives towards say, increasing our
productivity...

        All suggestions are very welcome!
