Matthew,

In addition to Topline that Steve mentioned, Practical Components, another
dummy component manufacturer, has some good information as well. I don't
know how much information they have online, but you can get a catalog. I
routinely use both the Topline and Practical Components catalogs for exactly
this purpose. Their web site is http://www.practicalcomponents.com .

Subject: [TN] Which Component size is what - where is defacto listing?

Hi there.
Is there a long list somewhere that defines exactly what all the
component package names mean (including different
standards variations on the names for the same component package)???
I.E.
SOP & SOPIC are the same ain't they?
What is the difference between an SOIC and SSOIC
and all that.

I'm not after answers on just the examples, what I want is a
downloadable list/articles on as many as I can get.

Now that we have to provide this information for the assembly dept to
input into off-line P&P programming software
(instead of them manually teaching on the machines) it means I gotta get
some more details.

Can anyone help?
