You might all be interested in the definitive manual on "today's
technologies" called PRINTED CIRCUITS HANDBOOK by
Clyde Coombs,Jr (I have the 4th edition,1995) which
covers everthing from design to manufacturing. It's
published by McGraw Hill. It's an invaluable reference
guide to designing/manufacturing today.

The version I have is the Second Edition, Surface Mount Technology
Principles and Practices by Ray P. Prasad from Chapman & Hall and ITP
(International Thomson Publishing).
