A symposium on "Environmental Aspects of Electrochemical Technology:
Applications in Electronics" will be held at the Electrochemical Society
Meeting, San Antonio, TX during the week of October 7-10, 1996. This
will be a good opportunity to present information on addressing
environmental issues related to electroplating, etching, and cleaning,
for example, in the manufacture of circuit boards, flexible circuits,
video discs, compact discs, connectors, lead frames, ceramic packages,
etc. Electrochemical/electrolytic techniques for recycling and
recovering materials from the above, and other operations would be
considered. Examples from the EPA Design for the Environment or Common
Sense Initiatives also might be appropriate.
We invite you or your colleagues to present a paper at this symposium and
learn about what others are doing in this important area of technology.
Abstracts are due by June 3, 1996. They may be submitted electronically.
