Hi Marius,
 I have always worked under the theory that the test coupon should reflect the minimum conditions on the pcb otherwise the coupon will pass and the pcb could fail.

I'm checking an artwork and the minimum trace to trace spacing on the layer of interest is 10mil.
The pad to pad minimum spacing is 6mil due to the presence of a particular footprint.
The test coupon E has the spacing of 10mil in the layer of interest.
Is this correct as per IPC-D-275 or it should be 6mil???
The artwork designer says only the trace to trace spacing should be considered.
Can anyone:- explain which spacing is the right one and why
