Graham,

I know you have some French Canadian influences, but my literal translation
is Plage (Range) d'accueil (welcome) pour fil (for wire)

Not being that familiar with electrical terms, how about

Wire termination point? or
Wire tuning range? or
Wire acceptance range (Tolerance?)

Hope this might point you in the right direction. I would ask our French
distributor to help, but France shut down on 2 August for the month!
