Our Company produces electronic products for both Military &
Commercial Airborne. Following the cancellation of Mil-STD-454,
Requirement 5; Mil-STD-2000 & QQ-S-571, we reviewed the impact on
Design, Assembly & quality, & agreed on the following:

     1. All new programs will invoke ANSI/J-STD-001, class 3 as a soldering
     requirement for Circuit Card Assemblies.

     2. Our internal Assembly Quality Spec will be updated to reflect any
     changes between MIL-STD-2000 and ANSI/J-STD-001.

     3. Solder will not be called out in our parts list if SN60, SN62 or
     SN63 is intended.

     4. High temperature solders, as applicable, will be specified IAW
     ANSI/J-STD-006

Note: training on the J-STDs is available. Contact the Engineering
     Manufacturing Production Facility, Indianapolis, Ind.
