        Besides the professionally made gauges which are the better choice,
any machine shop can make gauges of about 1.5" square,  60 mills thick
aluminum pieces.  Cut out notches on each side of different heights, leaving
the ends of each side to slide over the board and the notched part be the
fixed gauge.  This tool will provide you with four gauges in one. They can
machine notch 10 or more at a time. Edges must be smoothen out to not
scratch boards. Stamp each side for its height and give them to the
operators.
