We use them since 30 years back for monitoring the PWB process. Part of the panel can hold a certain and smaller area which is processed together with the rest of the panel. That small bit is cut out and analyzed. That way we can study all, from etching of via walls to contaminations from the baths etc. We could not have a 6S mounting process withou these coupons. / Ingemar

Hey Techno's,

I see people talking about test coupons and I'm not sure what this is all
about. Could someone explain to me what they are, how are they used, and
what do they do?

Thanks,
