This is also true for most of the products that we do in our company.
However, for some specific applications (e.g.: flex circuits that get
enclosed inside a HDD), exposed copper can pose serious reliability
issues. Powders of copper oxide, or any foreign material for that
matter, can fall into the magnetic media and damage it forever.
