As painful as it may be, and I can appreciate your willingness to help out,
your customer should take responsibility and make the changes themselves
and provide you new files. They will be much better off in the long run for
containing their own design changes.
I have worked in both design and manufacturing, and feel this is the
correct way to minimize problems that will keep coming up on future
revisions to the design.
