Paul and all

Thanks for the message. Be sure that I will be only too willing to share
stuff that is non-commercial.

Yes I was burned - and rightly so! It was some time ago and I had a habit of
catching up with TechNet Stuff late at night and I think I must have had one
martini too many. Anyhow, lesson learned.

If you or anyone want the latest info on SIR testing I will be pleased to
send it. I am on the IPC committees and on the ISO committee so it is bang
up to date. We are lobbying to make some pretty fundamental changes to the
existing specs, the best of which is the present IPC-TM-650.

The changes we know to be important include:

Frequent monitoring (20 to 30 minute intervals) This gives you far more
useful info and we believe, the ability to detect CAF influences.

Test voltages that are more in-line with actual circuit operating voltages.
Our National Physical Laboratory (NPL) with whom we work closely, has found
some pretty amazing results when testing at 5 volts.

I am sure that Dr Chris Hunt or Dr Colin Lea have got their TechNet Ears
on - so is this stuff published yet??

As I said earlier, anything I can share with you I will and if anyone wants
a copy of what we've got, let me know by direct email cos at this point it
gets REAL commercial. Non of this pressurised sales stuff, but surely
spamming media!!!

Regards,
Graham Naisbitt
