As a French canadian, I don't have more suggestions than what you already received. Just to say that sometime we find that French is not easy to work with as a technical language.  Maybe because on this side of the world we don't see as much French technical terminology.

What Graham Naisbitt suggested is probably the closest translation I could think of.

I know you have some French Canadian influences, but my literal translation
is Plage (Range) d'accueil (welcome) pour fil (for wire)

Not being that familiar with electrical terms, how about

Wire termination point? or
Wire tuning range? or
Wire acceptance range (Tolerance?)

Hope this might point you in the right direction. I would ask our French
distributor to help, but France shut down on 2 August for the month!
