Doug,
You're right. Just like a backward poet writes in verse. You verified I did make a mistake (/26 instead of /126). What is real embarrassing is /126 and /129 along with several others are the ones I had added to IPC-4101 when I was the Chair, rather than under the table as I am now.

Well Dewey, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. A broken clock is always right twice a day....

Doug doing PB laminate speak? What's next; humor?
I have to agree with my esteemed colleague. Laminates that meet IPC-4101/26 or 29 would probably work in both those temperature ranges and it eliminates the need for polyimide.

A high quality FR4 with a Tg in the 175C range will work for #2, but I think you need polyimide to work up to 200C.

We have a requirement specified in the master drawing of couple of PCBs which indicate that the operating temperatures as below.

1. -50°C to 200°C operating PCB.
2. -40° to 150°C operating PCB.

Will a high Tg material FR4 meet this requirement. Or will Polyimide be required. Any general inputs on this since we could not find the operating temperature in the TDS of the materials
