Research Associate

A research associate is sought to contribute to two related research projects
funded by the EPSRC and a group of industrial companies. Both projects are
concerned with the manufacture and reliability of electronic products.
The work will involve analytical and computational modelling of the
mechanical and electrical behaviour of electronic packaging and
interconnection structures, which are complex composites of materials
having diverse properties.

The succcesful candidate will have a first or higher degree in Engineering,
Materials Science or Physics and applications are particularly encouraged
from individuals with previous experience of computational modelling tools,
such as FE and CFD analysis, reliability physics or who have recent
experience within an electronic manufacturing environment.

The post is initially for a duration of 12 months and is available
immediately. The salary will be in the Research Grade 1A £14,317 - £21,519
per annum.
