                      RE>PWA Corrosion Test 2/2/96

 Mickey,
Battelle Labs in Columbus, Ohio has done FMG (Flowing Mixed Gas) testing for years that appear to be similar to what you describe. Bill Abbott (614-424-4198) has done an especially good job of developing these tests. Although they're not a European location, they've accumulated a huge database from sites all over the world.

One thing, though: Battelle tests were originally developed for assessing connector metallurgies and processes, but they've been expanded into other areas. Some may doubt the validity of such an expansion, but it's been done, nonetheless.

We have a customer requesting that products supplied
shall pass the following test, specified in IEC 68-2-60 TTD:
 Technical Trend Document (TTD)
Test Ke: Corrosion tests in artificial atmosphere at very low
          concentration of polluting gas(es).
          Method C:
    Mixture of polluting gases:
               so2 (0.5+/-0.1)10to the power of-6 (vol/vol)
               h2s (0.1+/-0.02)10 to the power of -6 (vol/vol)
with defined: temperature, humidity and time duration.

Has anyone performed the above tests or know an independent
laboratory that performs them (European location is preferred).

Thanks in advance for any response.
