Rod,
I do have a different point of view:
(1) a web site for what ever required to be checked for a particular
machine, material, process is constructive. That could include some "lesson
learned" from others (no name, just the behaviour). Give some of your
fellow engineers a check list to prevent the "pit fall" you and me may have
in the past is a good thing ...(Learn from others mistake is better than
learn from your own...we all evoluted from primitive to "advanced"...may be,
not so advanced for me...). 20 years of experience is
priceless...Hopefully, you will teach some of us...(rather than fire us).
(2) A web site may also be a good idea for have list of good equipment
vendor for technical information. It is very helpful for new technology
implementation....It could be vendor web links or road maps from
components/equipment/material/assembly/testing/ESD-handling... We all know
there is a missing link between these steps (check the e-mails we have read
last few month). Link together as one web site will be the 1st step to try
to fill the gap. e.g. the soldering profile is more and more govern by the
key components, it would be nice someone can be made aware of the
requirement....This is more of an issue to deal with OEM (the components
soldering requirement sometime is not transfered from the designer to the
OEM, just the parts list)...
(3) I leave the 3 item for you (and the others), Rod. Most of the vendors
are excellent, but there are few bad apples...In this highly competitive
world, one step miss (Carbon filter DI is not a large issue, but there are
others) may cause you a contract, a product line, profit margin or "live or
death". You must have some good idea to share after 20 years of experience.
Please lead us to the right direction by giving your 2 cents...

Thanks in advance...It is my 1 cent...
                                        jk
By the way, is it possible not "fire" someone? rather give him/her a better
way of doing business?? I am grateful many of Sr. Engineers lead me out of
the wrong path and help me in the past. Many thanks to all of them.
