As long as you don't read/pronounce Russian letters the way the same letters sound in English, you can always you can always get Lenin and not Lehin :-)
Try his first and middle names: ÷ÌÁÄÉÍÉÒ éÌØÉÞ :-)

As somebody who learned English as a second language, I can say it is actually not so bad.
Have just recently traveled former Soviet-occupied countries as well as Russia, I can tell you that Cyrillic is a major obstacle, because you cannot even sound out the words.
Would you really guess that 'LEHéH' means Lenin?
