Your idea has merit. Had same issues here. Dropbox only available from non-company computer to download. I would like to pursue idea of using Kavi. Our community is not that large it should cause a problem.

Inge,
I know the Rockwell firewall prevents me from accessing Dropbox here at work, which is why I had you switch to my home e-mail and it seems to work OK there, but intermittently. I have found that when I forward the Rockwell message to my home e-mail, something happens to the link in transit and won't work at home.

Perhaps I might suggest an alternative if Dropbox continues to be tempermental. As some of you know, IPC has started using the KAVI collaboration tool for many of its working committees. You need to be granted access, but it is not tough thing to get. Once there, you can upload and download files at will (within reason). I can discuss this with Kris Roberson (Kavi Guru) and Dave Torp, who has been scanning many old proceedings, and see if we can devote a Kavi site for Historical Papers and have the industry help build an archive or library. I know Dave Hillman has been working to steadily take Dr. Bill Kenyon's files and scan them into PDFs.

If anyone finds merit in this idea, I can pursue it.

Hi TNetters,

There is something f-g s-t with Dropbox. Half of the subscribers do not get in. I have uninvented these and reinvited. Let's see if that helps. If the problems are still there, I will look for better ways .

Please, try to get in now!

Inge
