I have seen this problem with acid coppers and found it at times to be down
to the acid cleaner.
Have you tried processing a virgin piece of laminate down the line?
Does the problem exhist?
If NO then repeat the exercise with the virgin laminate and process this
through the electroless and plate and follow up with the electroless and
photomechanical and plate
This will determine the area that the problem occurs.
Also an imblance of additives can cause this effect.
Also check the amount of AC ripple that is passing through the rectifiers.
If this is> 5-10% this will cause rapid degradation of the additives and
problems such as you experience
Does the problem occur at any particular cd?

Hope this may be of some help
Regards
John Burgess (Atotech UK)
