Mr. Patro,

While working at another facility, we evaluated Interflux IF-2005, No
Clean Flux. It worked very well. We were planning to switch over to
this product, when changes in ownership took place and the switch
was canceled.

We used it with a foam fluxer, which was not the best way to apply it.
A spray fluxer was in the planning satges. We did not use Nitrogen.

Good luck with your project. Contact me if I can be of any help.

Mr Patro,

You could check out with Alpha-metal or Hi-grade. I have evaluated both of
their fluxes that work pretty well with conventional wave-solder machine. .

I would not recommend you any part number, as it may work well for our
process, may not work well for yours. You should check it with them and
ask what it best for your process.

In my personal experience, even you have a good no-clean flux, other
parameters such as the type of nozzles in your machine, the type of solder,
such as low-dross, in the solder pot is pretty important. Other factors such
as good solderability from the PCB and components is pretty critical.

Using spray fluxer is better as one no need to control the amount of thinner
used for the flux and no contamination from the PCB as one can see that
it commonly happens in the foam fluxer/wave fluxer.

If you are using water-soluble or RMA flux, and are facing some soldering
problems, due to their weak activity level in the no-clean/low residue flux,
you may not able to solve.

If you need further info', or still want to know which type of no-clean flux I'm
using, feel free to ask..
