Robert,
Wow.
What does the software licensing say about the transfer of an asset? I mean,
can the maker of the translucent pane operating system force a buyer of a
used PC to replace the OS because the PC changed hands? Can you imagine?

Hi Steve In the PCB bussiness its just as bad or worse, we started to get
the same fees and a sharp rise in spare parts prices and service charges.
What to watch for more is the unregistered software. I bought a expensive
optical inspection unit 1 year old at a auction, we got sent a letter
demanding we not use the machine and were threatened with law suit unless we
bought there software licencing fee. The license was four times the price I
paid for the machine. The 200k unit now sits in the back room. Expensive
lesson.
