I use Eudora Pro, which has a "filters" feature. It is set so that any
incoming message containing "[log in to unmask]" in the headers is filtered to
a mailbox called "technet".

It is also set so that any message which does _not_ contain my name in
either the "to" or the "CC" header (i.e. BCC mail,) is transferred to a
mailbox called "junkmail".

This way, the first box I read is "in" and when I have time, "technet", and
once or twice a day I check "junkmail" to see if there is anything useful.
Most all the spam goes there; I can mass-trash the messages on how to get
rich quick, etc.

IMO, Eudora is much better than the mail feature with NetScape, and
although it does not have all the bells and whistles of the Micro$oft mail
packages, it has none of the annoying frills, either. It is a simple mail
package which works well, although it does not display HTML or
automatically answer messages, send vcards, etc...
