This dialogue is great so far but one big part of my question is missing. I
cannot clean these solder joints with anything except spot cleaning. They
cannot go through our in-line wash. My understanding is that spot (bench)
cleaning is never a good idea as a final clean.

I understand that testing is required and I'm prepared to do that but just
wanted to get a feel for successes other people have had coating urethane
over no-clean.

By the way Inge, I'm not trying to cut corners by putting on no-clean pants
;-)

Thanks,

KennyB

Who would like to live with no-clean pants? Cleanliness is alpha and omega
even for electronics. I'm not a friend of NC either. I've never understood
why this was introduced. Do you really save lots of money? Who is guilty?
AT&T? or Bell? or Motorola? At least, I'm sure it was not Brian Ellis. He
wears clean pants... oh.. it's not Friday yet.
