Frank,

The new IPC-TR-476A, released in May 1997, titled as Electrochemical
Migration: Electrically Induced Failures in Printed Wiring Assemblies, has
described the difference between electrochemical migraion and conductive
copper migration. Another excellent reference will be Protonique SA
on-line technical publication at http://www.protonique.com.
