I would like to vote

- against a new email forum for fabricators only as "spin off" from
TechNet (same arguments as Brian Ellis said before) - we need to work
together an thus we can learn more and better together and from each
other.

- against a forum instead of a mailing list
# Mailing list can be archieved easily offline by any interested
member
# for any contents on forums the institution who owns the forum is
responsible for the contents and may run into legal problems if
someone doesn't like someone's other postings, thus, any forum I know
needs much more adminstration than a mailing list, and will be at
least a little bit, hmm, call it "censored".
# Email is open for everyone, forum access however may often be
restricted by firewallls, browser incompatibilities etc.
