Hello,
We use our local Australian Standards AS1100 (mechanical drawings), and
AS1102 (electronic symbols), AS1103 (electronic diagrams), that are
basically aligned with the international IEC 617 series.
Depending on where you are, there is likely to be a similar standard,
(perhaps ANSI for the US?)

Subject: [TN] Standards for Engineering Documents

Hello everyone!

I am interested in finding out if there is a documented standard(s) for
developing engineering/manufacturing documents in the electronics industry.
(Ex. standardized symbols, standardized drawing layouts, etc...) I am not
really looking for software tools that will assist in developing those
documents (ie AutoCAD, etc...) but rather a standard that shows consistency
in how manufacturing or engineering documents should look.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Rich Lasko
