Alejandro:

I am going through the same exercise here at our lab, That unit
looks good , however Kodak also has several versions that are based around
the 290 camera,the MDS 290 1792 x 1200 resolution, and includes image
analysis software.
Another alternative to these is to use an adapter tube and a Nikon 950 or
990 coolpix. Both cameras are fantastic. the 950 has a resolution of 1600 x
1200 ( 2.1 mega pixels) it makes great looking prints up to 11 by 17 , the
990 has 3.1 mega pixels and has even better resolution . And added anvantage
of going this way is you can add a macro lense to the camera and with a
standa and some good lights take whole board pictures.
I currently have a 950 and adapter on order, ( camera runs about
$450.00, adapter 450 ) gets me into the whole thing for under a grand, o I
have money for a photoprinter, high end image software and some accessories.

Subject: [TN] Polaroid Digital Camera DMC Ie

Hi to all,

I am looking for a digital camera that can be used with Stere Microscopes
and Compound microscopes.
I found the Polaroid DMC Ie. This camara fits in my budget.
Does somebody have experience with this camera or recommend me a similar
camera?

Thanks,

Alejandro Becerra
