Hi All, I am in need of help...
I have been running a XENIX file server for drill and rout machines using
the Excellon DNC1.3 software. This server system is no longer supported by
Excellon.
Well to make a long story short. My hard drive crashed.
I have reconfigured a new drive with Xenix and tried to load my system
backup tapes, however I am stuck as follows:
The DNC software will not boot because the DNC lines (serial ports) are not
configured or assigned, so I cannot get to the Excellon Backup software to
access my backup tapes. (xenix backup does not recognize the tape).
Does anyone have experience configuring instulations of DNC1.3 on Xenix
platforms?
Does anyone know how to setup serial line configurations using this old
DNC1.3 version?
I could really use some help with a few details to get my system back up.
Thanks
Douglas Jeffery
