Victor,
We recently went through the same exercise in evaluating X-ray equipment.
The Phoenix machine was one of our finalists. What it came down to, for
us, is that the machine we selected had the best user interface that
seemed very intuitive on its use.
There were other machines available that may have had better features, but
when we went out for demos with our board samples, some demos took many
hours that required process tweaking to get the desired outcome. The
machine that we selected, Dage, we got through our demo within a half
hour with an analysis report in hand!
But if you have an X-ray expert in your staff who understands the tweaking
aspects then the Dage may not be the right choice.

Re: [TN] X-ray machines
In our CMFA lab we use a FeinFocus 160, COMET, and are well please with
its performance. It all depends on the use of the instrument and
analyst x-ray knowledge of x-ray.

Subject: [TN] X-ray machines
Hi Technet,
I'm looking for comparative info on the existing X-ray machines
(nanofocus, Phoenix in particular) and would greatly appreciate any
input.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Regards,
Vladimir
