Sal ammoniac or ammonium chloride is the active component of one of the
most active soft-soldering fluxes ever. It has no place in electronics
assembly workshops. Its use could cause horrific ionic contamination and
consequent dendrite formation, corrosion and you-name-it. Furthermore,
its fumes are highly irritating and toxic. Forget it!
