We obtained a loaner unit from TIC and evaluated it for several weeks.

Despite numerous attempts (and two different Optimizer units) we never
got it to perform repeatably, and were unsuccessful in rationalizing the
        results with TIC.

We run two Sensby dual wave machines. The Optimizer was very
inconsistent with respect to registering the chip wave when conveyor
speeds were greater than or equal to 4 ft/min. Preheat temperature
readings (TC1-3) were not reliable one run to the next. We'd
occasionally get spurious immersion depth readings, i.e. nothing at
        0.060" - 0.084" , but a reading at 0.096". TIC said the inconsistency
may have been from splashing on the laminar wave (I don't think so).

Beware that TIC markets and sells the product only. Real technical
support will probably only come from the Optimizer designers -- I
believe they're in Isreal. TIC was reluctant to put us in touch with
them, and claimed we were the only ones to have reported such problems.
